Data Fusion
CCRi goes beyond traditional data fusion techniques that simply reveal that data from various sources is related or produced simultaneously. Our goal is to link data streams to uncover previously unknown relationships and produce true situational awareness.
CCRi develops innovative ways to combine data from a variety of different sources, including photographs, video, radar, magnetic sensors, text, and human intelligence. Our goal is not simply to integrate the data in space and time, but to produce true situation assessments that reveal the underlying significance of the fused data.
Taking this additional step requires a deep-seated understanding of individual data sources, the knowledge needed to select relevant data for fusion, and the ability to construct a framework to interpret the fused results. As an example, we delivered an application to the Department of Defense that fuses transcriptions of voice transmissions with data from radar and other sources to provide situational awareness about targets of interest.
