Simulation Optimization
CCRi specializes in difficult simulation optimization projects in dynamic environments in which there are no closed-form definitions of the objective. In these cases, we employ experimental rather than mathematical approaches to optimization.
CCRi takes on open-form simulation optimization projects with difficult-to-characterize variables that require an experimental rather than a mathematical approach. Our work with Hong Kong International Terminals is just one instance of this type of project.
Our first step is to gather relevant domain knowledge and translate this knowledge into a computer model. After rigorously validating this simulation, we determine a set of experiments that we can run, refining our optimization incrementally as we zero in on a solution.
