Why CCR?

CCR is a very small company with around a dozen full-time employees. This setting translates into the following advantages:

Independence

CCR fits all schedules and lifestyles. You are paid by the hour at a rate whose full-time equivalent is a very attractive traditional salary. You earn the same amount for every hour you work. How much you work, and when, is up to you.

Responsibility

CCR employees trust each others’ work because they don’t have much time to second-guess each other. If you like knowing that something works well because you designed it to work well, then you will feel at home.

Challenge

Few jobs offer as many open-ended opportunities to pursue arbitratily complex problems. Set your bar as high as you like.

The right tools for a job don’t always come in one box. CCR has a cross-platform culture, both in the target domains of its products and in the individual preferences of its engineers. General problem solving: know how to analyze an open-ended problem and bring diverse skills and resources to bear on it.
Mathematics: know how to model real-world problems using advanced math and a computer.
Software Engineering: know how to collaborate in the writing, documentation, and testing of complex software systems.
Computer Science: know how to speak in terms of algorithms, data structures, computational complexity, functional and object-oriented abstractions, ...
Hard skills: know how to program, script, and administer diverse platforms including UNIX variants.
